The Angry Kreyon ConceptThink of
Angry Kreyon as
a musical
coloring book.
Each song began as a - simple outline - the original
version much like a line drawing in a coloring book. From there, those
same songs were colored in multiple times, each time through a different
musical style, attitude, and delivery.
The lyrics are often largely
the same, but the feel changes.
And when the feel changes, the meaning
changes.
Just like two people can color the same page very
differently, two bands can interpret the same song in completely different
ways.
Why It Works This WayWhere you're from shapes how you
hear the world.
I m not from where you re from so our perspectives are
naturally different.
Music works the same way.Over the
years, I've played with many bandmates, absorbed countless influences, and
heard cover versions of songs I loved and even songs I didn t like that
completely changed how I understood them. Sometimes a cover reveals
something the original never did.
At some point, I asked myself:
Why not do my own covers?
30 Years in the MakingWhat
followed was nearly 30 years of rough recordings, countless lineup
changes, evolving styles, and a lot of trial and error. Eventually, that
turned into thousands of hours of digital restoration and reconstruction,
revisiting old material and reshaping it with modern tools.
In a
few places, AI assistance was used carefully not to replace creativity,
but to help repair gaps, clean up damage, and make the music listenable in
a way that simply wasn t possible before.
I approached each version
as if a different band was covering the same song trying to let that
imagined band s personality show through. Some of those influences are
obvious; others are subtle, obscure, and maybe only recognizable to a few
listeners.
The ResultWhat you hear across the Angry Kreyon
catalog isn't repetition it's reinterpretation.
The same songs,
seen through different lenses,
colored by different hands,
across
different moments in time.
That's Angry Kreyon.
